Senator Maria Byrne has today welcomed confirmation from UL Hospitals Group that job applications for the Clinical Nurse Specialist in Neurology post at UHL have now closed with job interviews expected to take place at the end of July or the beginning of August.
Speaking on the announcement Senator Byrne said “it’s great news that job applications for the position have now closed and that job interviews are expected to take place at the end of July or the beginning of August. Once the position is filled it will be hugely beneficial to the women and men across Limerick and the wider Mid-West Region.
“However the fight to get this position filled has been unnecessarily long particularly for Multiple Sclerosis patients and their families.”

“MS Ireland has done amazing work in keeping this on the agenda. More work is certainly needed to ensure that future appointments are dealt with in a more efficient manner”
